The latest Wallace & Gromit film features a surprising villain.
In Vengeance Most Fowl, Wallace and Gromit face Feathers McGraw, a cunning foe from their past. This mischievous penguin first appeared in the 1993 short film The Wrong Trousers and briefly showed up in last year’s Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. Now, he’s back for revenge.

What is Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl about?
Directors Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham return with another adventure. In this film, Gromit worries that Wallace relies too much on his gadgets. His concern proves right when Wallace creates a “smart” gnome that seems to think for itself. It turns out someone from their past is behind it all, and Gromit must save Wallace from the dark plot.
Park shared with Netflix, “Returning to Wallace and Gromit is like meeting up with family friends.” He believes fans feel the same connection. “They’re like an old, married couple in some ways,” he said. “Wallace pushes Gromit’s loyalty to the extreme, and Gromit always wants Wallace to change. It’s something everyone can relate to.”
To defeat Feathers McGraw, they will need all their cleverness. Crossingham mentioned, “One of our most asked questions is ‘when will Feathers come back?’ Well now is the time and he’s back with a vengeance.”
Fans love Wallace’s quirky inventions, and this time it’s Norbot, a “Nifty Odd-jobbing Robot” gnome designed to help Gromit with gardening. Directors Park and Crossingham revealed, “Norbot is Wallace’s most proud achievement to date and, according to Wallace, his ‘best invention ever!’” Gromit, however, might not be as thrilled…

Who’s in the cast of Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl?
Ben Whitehead takes over as Wallace’s voice after Peter Sallis passed away in 2017. Gromit and Feathers McGraw remain silent, with their characters brought to life by Aardman’s animation team. The cast also includes Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, Reece Shearsmith, Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, Muzz Khan, and Lenny Henry.
How many Wallace & Gromit films are there?
Vengeance Most Fowl is a great starting point for newcomers. Wallace and Gromit first appeared in the 1989 short film A Grand Day Out, which introduced their cheese obsession. Their second adventure, The Wrong Trousers, featured Feathers McGraw and won an Oscar in 1993. They teamed up with Shaun the Sheep in A Close Shave (1995), earning another Oscar. Shaun later starred in his own TV show and movies.
In 2006, they made their first feature-length film, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, winning another Oscar. The 2008 short film A Matter of Loaf and Death was also nominated for an Oscar. Now, we have Vengeance Most Fowl.
If you’re new to the series, don’t worry. Crossingham hopes Vengeance Most Fowl will introduce Wallace and Gromit to a new generation. “I want this film to reach people who have never come across Wallace and Gromit before,” he said.
