The upcoming Netflix series Territory is set to be a thrilling drama.
This billion-dollar industry tale revolves around a succession battle in the harsh Australian outback. Without an heir for the world’s largest cattle station, family disputes and power struggles emerge in a dangerous land where almost everything can be lethal.
No sunny beaches here; this is the Northern Territory, rough and remote. The trailer, linked above, gives a glimpse of this new neo-Western series featuring Anna Torv, Sam Corlett, and more, fighting for land and legacy.
Plot Overview
The Lawson family faces chaos when Marianne Station lacks a successor. Rival cattle barons, desert gangsters, Indigenous elders, and billionaire miners seize the chance to claim their share, with billions on the line.
Fans are really going to love seeing all the action in such an unforgiving place.

Filming Locations
Shot in the Northern Territory and South Australia, the series uses locations like Kakadu National Park and Tipperary Station. These areas are so vast that helicopters and private jets are needed for travel. With land holdings bigger than some countries, it’s a massive, money-filled industry.
Creators Timothy Lee and Ben Davies brought this high-stakes drama to life. During a beach walk amid a pandemic, they envisioned a story contrasting with their surroundings, imagining people in jeans and boots in the Top End.
Production Team
Executive producers are Davies, Rob Gibson, and Ian Collie. Paul Ranford is the producer, with writers including Lee, Kodie Bedford, Steven McGregor, and Michaeley O’Brien. Directed by Greg McLean, Territory is produced by Easy Tiger and Ronde for Netflix, with support from Screen Territory and the SAFC.
