Get ready to dive into Terminator Zero, an eight-episode anime series on Netflix. With voices like Timothy Olyphant and Rosario Dawson, it promises an apocalyptic adventure. The trailer is already setting the stage for what’s to come.
Back in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, we learned that Skynet’s self-awareness date was August 29, 1997. This led to a war between humans and machines. Now, the story continues with new characters and more intense battles spanning from the late 20th century to early 21st.
We are all excited to see where this story goes next.
What’s the Story of Terminator Zero?
Fast forward to 2022, humans are still fighting against machines. But everything started when Skynet woke up in 1997.
A soldier travels back to 1997 to protect a scientist named Malcolm Lee. He’s working on a new AI to combat Skynet. But an assassin from the future is hunting him, which changes the fate of his family forever.
“I was looking at the franchise and the first two movies in particular,” Tomlin tells Tudum. “And why are we still talking about this franchise 40 years later? You strip away killer robots, you strip away Judgment Day, what do you have left? You have stories about families.”
Who’s Voicing the Characters in Terminator Zero?
- Timothy Olyphant as The Terminator: The unstoppable force is back but with a fresh twist thanks to Olyphant’s take.
