Ellen DeGeneres will release her final comedy special later this year.
After ending her 19-season-long talk show in 2022, Ellen is back with another stand-up performance, six years after her previous Netflix special, Relatable. She promises to address many questions people have been asking her. “To answer the questions everyone is asking me, yes, I’m going to talk about it. Yes this is my last special. Yes, Portia really is that pretty in real life.” Alongside this, she’s starting a multi-city tour beginning June 19th in San Diego.
This upcoming special, produced by Ben Winston and Fulwell73, will be available on Netflix later this year. Robbie Praw from Netflix describes Ellen as a unique legend and pioneer, expressing excitement for her new special. “There is nobody quite like Ellen,” he said. “She is a true legend and pioneer in so many ways. We can’t wait to bring fans another one of her hilarious comedy specials later this year.”
Ellen received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama, honoring her remarkable contributions to progress in the U.S. In 2023, her love for animals was highlighted in a two-hour special called Saving the Gorillas: Ellen’s Next Adventure, aired on various channels including Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.
Fans are eagerly waiting for more information about her new special’s release date on Netflix. Meanwhile, you can watch Relatable online.
We are thrilled to see what Ellen has in store for us next!
