On September 17, Tyler Henry started a new live show on Netflix called Live from the Other Side with Tyler Henry, hosted by Amanda Kloots.
In the first episode titled “Connection,” he had a session with Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset, where she connected emotionally with her late parents through his reading. Within a year, Stause lost both her father, Jeff, in 2019, and her mother, Ranae, in 2020. After the episode, Tudum talked to Stause about how it felt to hear from them again and what she learned from the experience.
What were you hoping for when you joined Live from the Other Side with Tyler Henry?
Stause said, “I had some questions that I knew I really wanted to ask. I felt my mom trying to come through to me before, and [this] served as the most beautiful confirmation of things I would’ve thought she felt. There’s nothing like having someone as amazing as Tyler to solidify things I knew she wanted me to know. My last conversation with my mom was hard, and it was really nice for him to just really let me know I can let that go. Knowing that my parents had a hand in sending me my partner [musician G Flip], which I also felt like I knew, but it was really beautiful to have it come from Tyler as confirmation. I really knew my parents were going to work hard to be here today.”
How did you feel when Tyler made the connection?
She shared, “My whole body was trembling. I don’t know what it looked like on camera, because when it was happening, my heart was racing. It’s weird. It’s like I was excited and nervous, and I couldn’t wait to hear what they wanted to say because I knew that they wanted to say things. I’ve just had so many instances where I can tell that they’re trying to show up, but I don’t have the ability to know what they’re saying.”
What will you take away from this experience?
She concluded, “I think I love knowing that they’re still here with me. It’s just nice knowing they’re still around because they were gone too soon.”
