2004 Boston Red Sox Documentary Chronicles World Series Journey

Everybody enjoys a good comeback story.

The Unstoppable 2004 Boston Red Sox

Back in 2004, nothing could hold back the Boston Red Sox. Not even the “Curse of the Bambino” or their fierce rivals, the New York Yankees. The documentary The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox, announced earlier this year, captures their incredible journey to winning the World Series for the first time in 86 years.

This three-part series includes exclusive chats with players like Pedro Martinez, David Ortiz, and Kevin Millar. Plus, it features interviews with former manager Terry Francona, ex-general manager Theo Epstein, and many others who played key roles in the 2004 victory.

Debuting on Oct. 23, The Comeback marks the 20th anniversary of that historic postseason when the Red Sox overturned a 3-0 deficit against the Yankees before dominating the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. Since then, they’ve clinched three more championships, becoming the most successful team since 2000. Baseball enthusiasts can also expect a deep dive into the team’s legendary rivalry with the Yankees, both on and off the field.

Fans will love reliving those unforgettable moments.

Under the direction of Colin Barnicle, The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox is brought to life by Meadowlark Media and Barnicle Brothers, in partnership with MLB. The executive producers are Nick Barnicle, Colin Barnicle, John Skipper, Deirdre Fenton, Howard Bryant, Melody Shafir, Nick Davis, and Nick Trotta.
